Cinetaria Foundation — CSR Policy

Protecting Cinema. Empowering Creators. Preserving Copyright.

Cinetaria Foundation’s CSR policy is built around a simple principle: cinema is not only an industry—it is culture, livelihood, intellectual property and a powerful form of social expression. As a cinema-focused NGO, the Foundation will work to create a fairer, safer and more sustainable ecosystem for filmmakers, producers, exhibitors, technicians and audiences.

Its strategic priorities include fighting film piracy and copyright infringement, strengthening awareness and implementation of the Copyright Act, and protecting the interests of small and independent cinemas and small-scale film producers who often face disproportionate commercial and technological challenges. The Foundation will promote legal awareness, responsible digital consumption, anti-piracy campaigns, capacity-building and access to industry resources for emerging creators.

Strategic CSR Pillars

- Anti-Piracy & Copyright Protection — awareness, advocacy and collaborative action against illegal distribution and exploitation of films.
- Small Cinema Protection — support for independent, single-screen and community-oriented cinemas facing economic and technological pressures.
- Small & Independent Producers — guidance, capacity-building and advocacy for producers with limited resources.
- Copyright Act Awareness — promoting respect for creators’ intellectual-property rights and encouraging lawful use of cinematic content.
- Emerging Filmmaker Support — creating opportunities for new writers, directors, technicians and independent filmmakers.
- Industry Rights & Awareness — addressing systemic issues affecting livelihoods, fair opportunities and sustainability across the film ecosystem.
- Cinema for Social Impact — using cinema as a platform for cultural preservation, education, inclusion and social awareness.

Celebrating Cinema & Building Film Culture

Connecting Cinema with Culture, Capital & Communities

Cinetaria Foundation will also serve as a platform for celebrating, connecting and advancing cinema through international and regional film festivals, film workshops, masterclasses, film expos, FilmInvest Summits, filmmaker and investor forums, film networks, screenings, awards and knowledge-sharing initiatives. These platforms will bring together filmmakers, producers, investors, exhibitors, distributors, technicians, institutions, students and audiences, creating meaningful opportunities for collaboration, investment, learning and cultural exchange. The objective is to transform cinema events from mere celebrations into strategic ecosystems that discover talent, facilitate partnerships, attract investment and strengthen the global network of Indian and international cinema.

Cinetaria Foundation seeks to become a bridge between creators, cinemas, audiences, institutions and policymakers—advocating not merely for the growth of cinema, but for the protection of those who create, produce and exhibit it.
